Gardner R. Dozois
Wiki entry, ISFDB entry ---------------- "Apres Moi" © OMNI, Nov 1990 Geodesic Dreams, 1992 --short story : 1991 Locus /20 --/ cool sf story --/ style award Very stylish, bittersweet story that I remember fondly. Omni truly was an awesome market for short fiction in the 1980s and early 1990s. It was really sad to see this market disappear. And... I can never get enough of edgy, yet lyrical and deeply romantic stories by Gardner R. Dozois. "Apres Moi" is a statement of style, and a very soft experience. ---------------- "Chains of the Sea" © Chains of the Sea, ed. Incredibly well-written science fiction; in short, "science fiction like it is supposed to be". Bravo! (my only complaint is that it ends too soon). ---------------- "Disciples" © Penthouse, Dec 1981 --short story : 1982 Nebula --short story : 1982 Locus /16 "A Dream at Noonday" © Orbit # 7, 1970 The Visible Man, 1977 --short story : 1971 Nebula --/ fourth place sf story --/ style award --/ emotion award --/ wonder award "The Empty Man" © 1966, IF --/ cool sf story --/ style award "Fairy Tale" © Sci-Fiction, Jul 2003 --short story : 2004 Locus /21 (tie) "Flash Point" © Orbit # 13, 1974 The Visible Man, 1977 --/ cool sf story "The Gods of Mars" (with Jack Dann & Michael Swanwick) © OMNI, Mar 1985 Slow Dancing Through Time, 1990 --short story : 1986 Nebula --short story : 1986 Locus /9 --/ fourth place space sf story --/ wonder award "A Kingdom By The Sea" © Orbit # 10, 1972 The Visible Man, 1977 --novelette : 1973 Hugo --novelette : 1973 Nebula --short fiction : 1973 Locus /5 --/ cool sf story --/ emotion award --/ shock value "A Knight of Ghosts and Shadows" © IASFM, Oct 1999 --novelette : 2000 Locus /7 (tie) --novelette : 2000 Asimov's /2 --novelette : 2001 Nebula --/ fourth place sf story --/ style award "The Last Day of July" © New Dimensions # 3, 1973 The Visible Man, 1977 --/ third place sf story --/ style award --/ emotion award --/ wonder award "The Man Who Waved Hello" © Universe # 2, 1972 --/ cool sf story "Morning Child" © OMNI, Jan 1984 Geodesic Dreams, 1992 --short story : 1985 Nebula W --short story : 1985 Locus /22 --short story : 1985 SF Chronicle /2 --/ third place sf story --/ style award --/ emotion award --/ wonder award "Night Of The Dead" (with Jack Dann) © 1984, OMNI --/ fourth place f story --/ style award "The Peacemaker" © IASFM, Aug 1983 Geodesic Dreams, 1992 --short story : 1984 Hugo --short story : 1984 Nebula W --short story : 1984 Locus /2 --short story : 1984 SF Chronicle W --/ cool sf story "The Sacrifice" © F&SF, Mar 1982 "Strangers" (nv) © New Dimensions # 4, 1974 book: Doubleday, 1978 --novella : 1975 Hugo --novella : 1975 Locus /5 --novella : 1975 Jupiter --novel : 1979 Nebula --novel : 1979 Locus /10 --/ third place sf novel --/ wonder award --/ romance award --/ style award --/ emotion award ---------------- |
